About the Plan
Star Health's Health Gain Insurance Policy is a versatile health insurance plan that offers coverage for both inpatient and outpatient treatments under a single policy. Policyholders have the flexibility to choose their desired sum insured, with options ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakhs, and can select premium amounts of ₹15,000, ₹20,000, ₹25,000, or ₹30,000, exclusive of applicable taxes. The policy is available on both individual and family floater bases, accommodating up to two adults and three dependent children aged between 91 days and 25 years. Notably, any unutilized outpatient benefit can be carried forward to the next policy year, ensuring that policyholders maximize their benefits. Eligibility extends to individuals aged 18 to 65 years, with the provision for policy renewals beyond 65 years. Additionally, premiums paid towards this policy are eligible for income tax benefits under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

Certain treatments like cataracts, ENT disorders, and joint replacements are excluded for the first 24 months.
Illnesses contracted within the first 30 days of policy inception are not covered, except for accidents.
Expenses related to cosmetic or plastic surgery unless necessary due to an injury or disease are excluded.
Treatments related to alcohol or drug abuse, self-inflicted injuries, and suicide attempts are not covered.
