What is the waiting period for pre-existing diseases under MediCare LITE?

Declared pre-existing diseases are covered after a waiting period of 36 months from the first policy inception date. Listed illnesses and treatments have a separate waiting period of 24 months.

How does the Restore Benefit work?

If the available Sum Insured and accrued Cumulative Bonus become insufficient to pay an admissible claim, the policy automatically restores 100% of the Sum Insured once during a policy year.

Are health check-ups included in the policy?

Yes. The policy provides a health check-up once every policy year for specified tests on a cashless basis, irrespective of claim history.

Is there any co-payment under this policy?

Yes. A 20% co-payment applies if the insured entered the policy at age 61 or above. A 30% co-payment applies when treatment is taken outside the Valued Provider – Pan India network.
