How long does ABHI take to approve cashless claims?

ABHI typically responds to pre-authorisation requests within 2 hours of receiving them at the hospital.

What documents are required to file a claim?

You'll need your policy document, hospitalisation records, discharge summary, original bills and receipts, and a valid ID proof. For reimbursement claims, submit these to ABHI post-discharge.

Is pre-authorisation mandatory for cashless claims?

Yes. You need to submit a pre-authorisation form at the network hospital at least 24 hours before admission. For emergencies, inform ABHI within 24 hours of hospitalisation.

What chronic conditions are covered from Day 1?

Diabetes (Type 1 & Type 2), Asthma, High Blood Pressure, and High Cholesterol are covered from the very first day of the policy — no waiting period applies.

What is the Chronic Management Program?

If you develop a covered chronic condition after policy inception, you're automatically enrolled. The program gives you access to assigned doctors and covers consultations and diagnostic tests up to ₹4,350.
